Axel Roehrl - He has made previous advancements in DTM and has decided to join the first season of the Megurine Island Touring Car Championship in the Classics division, branching off his skills and joining other divisions, keeping his racing loyalty with Opel.





David Anderson - Much like some of the other drivers on this list, this is his debut, driving for Lotus in the classics division for the MITC, with a first generation Lotus Elise.








Franz Müller - Has been contracted with BMW to drive their E30 M3 in the classics division, some say his history in racing is a little bit questionable, as he used to get into long illegal street races across the Autobahn.





Henry Smith - Born in Missouri, US, with a few previous endeavors in the NHRA, he decided to try his hand in circuit racing in the MITC, entering with his own personal Chevrolet Camaro '67.







James Becker - All of his previous training comes from autocross in various places in the US, mainly in the Midwest region, he's decided to spend his life savings to enter the MITC Classics division, with his own Mazda Miata Gen. 1.






Keiichi Tatsuhara - From Osaka, Japan with a knack for racing ever since he was a kid, he is one of the many drivers making a big debut in racing this season using a Mugen Motul Honda Civic that Honda gave to him when they hired him.





Kerry Hartford - Aside from Sabine Schmitz and Danica Patrick, she's one of the few female race car drivers on the scene, representing Cosworth in a Ford Sierra RS.






Len Aston - A man of many talents, including building his own Nissan 240sx, he has been specially picked by Nissan themselves to race for them, giving him a STP ADVAN Taisan Skyline R32, driven previously by Keiichi Tsuchiya himself.






Marco Rossi - Taking part in many GP races before, and even a few motorcycle races, he's decided to take on the Classics division for the first season of the MITC, He's entering using a Lancia Fulvia Zagato, one of the more unique cars on the grid.






Marie Vargas - One of the three female racing drivers making a debut this season, she is considered one of the few to watch, expected to be a major underdog, coming in from Australia and racing for Holden in a Commodore V8. Videos of her drifting has made it online, and she is expected to be one of the top drivers for this season.




Takumi Fujiwara - Some say he learned to drive using only a cup of water and many, many tofu deliveries, but one thing's for sure - he's definitely become one of the most notorious street racers in all of Japan, gaining many years of experience from racing teams like Project D, and racing for many years on winding Japanese mountain roads, he's expected to be one of the major drivers for this season, racing in a Toyota Corolla AE86 Group A.




Valentina Bianchi - One of the three female race car drivers making her debut, she grew up on the back-allies of Italy, finding her way around an engine with ease, and driving for Alfa Romeo using a GTV that she got when she was contracted with them.
